The Dust Awareness course provides participants with the knowledge required to work safely in areas exposed to dust and promotes an understanding of the potential hazards and associated control methods. Participants will also learn about the health effects of dust, the measurement of dust, as well as dust exposure standards and regulation of dust in the workplace.

The Dust Awareness course is suitable for workers in the mining, drilling and extraction industries who may be required to work in areas exposed to dust.
Course delivery and assessment
The Dust Awareness course is delivered within a face-to-face classroom environment and involves group exercises. Participants will be required to complete a written assessment. On successful completion of the course and assessment, participants will be issued with a Statement of Completion.
