Dangerous Goods Awareness

The Dangerous Goods Awareness course provides participants with the knowledge needed to work safely in areas where there are dangerous goods and promotes an understanding of the potential hazards and associated control methods. Participants will learn about how to store and handle dangerous goods, health hazards, personal protective equipment and how to deal with emergencies associated with dangerous goods.

The Dangerous Goods Awareness course is suitable for workers in all resource industries, including coal and metalliferous mining, quarrying, construction and gas.

Course delivery and assessment

The Dangerous Goods Awareness course is delivered within a face-to-face classroom environment and includes group exercises. Participants will be required to complete a written assessment. On successful completion of the course and assessment, participants will be issued with a Statement of Completion.
