Cooper Creek: Consultation on the water plan extension
The Cooper Creek water plan is due to expire on 1 September 2022.
The Minister for Natural Resources, Mines and Energy has released a public notice of the intention to extend the life of the water plan (PDF, 367.2KB) until 1 September 2031.
The Minister’s performance assessment report for the Water Plan (Cooper Creek) 2011 (PDF, 2.4MB) provides further information and supporting assessments relating to the intended extension.

Consultation on the intention to extend the life of the Cooper Creek water plan closed on 22 July 2019.
Submissions received during the consultation period are currently being assessed and will be carefully considered before making a final decision regarding the postponement of the expiry of the plan.
