Why join a board?
Do you want to help the community?
Are you looking for a rewarding and productive way to get involved with government?
By joining a board, you can provide leadership, direction and advice to the government. You can also make a significant contribution to the community – we want our boards to reflect the community we serve.
Diversity on boards provides many benefits, so we encourage diverse participation. We want people with different expertise, experience and perspectives from across the community. This includes Aboriginal peoples, Torres Strait Islander peoples, women, people from diverse backgrounds, young people and people with disabilities.
The Queensland Government is increasing the number of women on boards in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. Find out how you can help make a positive difference for gender parity in Queensland.
