Our board members
The Queensland Register of Appointees to Government Bodies provides information about all appointments to Queensland Government bodies, including statutory offices, boards, committees and statutory authorities.
With over 50 boards and committees overseeing a variety of industry and community portfolios, we value community participation.
A proactive approach to diversity
We have the important task of ensuring our land, water, mineral and energy resources deliver sustainable benefits for current and future generations of Queenslanders. One of our many boards, the Lower Burdekin Water Board, coordinated tours of their authority area for women across the region. The tours coincided with preparation for their upcoming triennial board elections and aimed to build knowledge of the board’s roles and responsibilities.
By taking a proactive approach to the process, current board members encouraged women to nominate and vote in the board elections. This correlates with the board’s wider goal of increasing female representation and diversity to improve the performance of the Lower Burdekin Water Board.
