Our boards and committees
We are responsible for over 50 boards and committees with many different responsibilities and goals. These boards make a valuable contribution to Queensland by overseeing the use and flow of local waterways, registering surveyors and valuers, protecting our coal mine workers, and providing advice to our Minister.
Diversity adds value. We want our boards to reflect our community by including members with different expertise, experience and perspectives. We encourage all interested people to participate, including:
- Aboriginal peoples
- Torres Strait Islander peoples
- people from diverse backgrounds
- young people
- people with disabilities.
The Queensland Government is increasing the number of women on boards in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. Find out how you can help make a positive difference for gender parity in Queensland.
