Proposed Lilyvale Solar Farm
Under the Electricity Act 1994, the Regulator (i.e. the Director-General of the Department of Natural Resources, Mines and Energy) issues authorities (licences) for generation, transmission and distribution activities in Queensland’s electricity industry.
When an applicant applies for a generation authority to connect generating plant with capacity greater than 30 megawatts (MW) to a transmission grid or supply network, the Regulator must invite interested persons to make submissions about the application.
What is proposed
The proposed Lilyvale Solar Farm is a 126.21 MW DC solar farm to be located approximately 50km north-east of Emerald and 10km east of the township of Tieri.
The Regulator is seeking feedback from interested persons with regards to issuing Lilyvale Asset Co Pty Ltd as Trustee for Lilyvale Asset Trust (the operator of the proposed generator) a generation authority for the Lilyvale Solar Farm.
Further details are available in the Application for electricity generation authority information paper (PDF, 545.0KB).
How to make a submission
You can provide feedback by making a written submission by 5pm, Friday 31 August 2018.
