Queensland biofuels mandates
The biofuel mandates set minimum requirements for the sale of biobased ethanol-blended petrol and biobased diesel.
Both mandates have now been in effect for more than 2 years.
During this time, they have successfully increased the uptake and availability of ethanol and improved the supply chain for biodiesel.
We are now seeking to further optimise the biofuel framework to:
- better deliver on its objectives
- strengthen the biofuels and biomanufacturing industry in Queensland.
